The days of chalk and dry erase markers are over at the Harvest English Institute. As part of our commitment to create exciting and effective educational experiences for our students, the Newark Campus is now equipped with Smart Boards and interactive TV’s! Now students in all four schools, Newark – NJ, Orlando I and II – FL, and Los Angeles – CA, can enjoy this innovative technology.

With this new technology, students can watch videos, do listening exercises, play games, and more. Teachers have more freedom to play videos and visit educational websites, which makes the classroom experience interactive and fun. These state-of-the-art boards are built with stereo sound, and up to 4 students can write on them at the same time if needed. When learning a new language, it’s advantageous to include images, videos, and music as part of the learning process. It facilitates the connection between images and words, thus, increasing retention and fluency.

At the Harvest English Institute, technology doesn’t stop there. There are computer labs where students can do research, check their email, and more. In 2019, a new online student system with individual logins will be available at all campuses. Students will be able to check their attendance and grades, make requests, file complaints, make payments, and print report cards and transcripts, among other services.

The institute has invested a great amount of resources on this project to make it unique and tailored to fit our students’ needs.
