What is Mask up America about?
As the New Coronavirus pandemic moved forward in 2020, the governor of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo, came up with this idea to have Americans willing to wear their masks in public spaces.
Soon after, the idea has spread to the other states, has gained Ad Council’s support as well as many celebrities throughout the country. Artists like Morgan Freeman, John Leguizamo, Anthony Mackie, Rosie Perez, Ellen Pompeo and Jeffrey Wright have adhered to the cause and recorded some commercials, letting people know about the campaign.
Besides that, over 12.000 specialists from the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) have also shown their support to Mask Up through offline ads and on the Internet.
Now, more than ever, we need everybody’s collaboration. That’s why we put on our masks and kindly ask you to do the same. Together, we will be stronger and protected. Let’s stop the spread, so we can come back to our normal lives, doing what we like to do and staying close to our loved ones.
